Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) successfully completed the acceptance and commissioning of the modern information technology system under the BEST Project (Boosting Excellence in Second-Tier HEIs) – an initiative funded by the European Union aiming to enhance excellence among developing universities.

The system was officially handed over in April 2025, supplied and installed by UNI Joint Stock Company. The new infrastructure includes Dell PowerEdge servers, CyberPower UPS units, and ECP 42UD1000-B network cabinets. All equipment meets high technical standards, ensuring operational stability, data security, and readiness to support HUB’s academic, research, data management and IT operations.

The BEST Project is an international cooperation initiative within the Erasmus+ Programme, uniting higher education institutions from Southeast Asia and the European Union. The project seeks to modernize, strengthen capacity, and improve the quality of second-tier higher education institutions. Its key objectives include: Enhancing institutional governance and autonomy; Promoting the internationalization of teaching and research; Fostering academic mobility and exchange among students and staff; and Advancing digital transformation in higher education.
System installed and ready for operation
The implementation and deployment of this advanced IT infrastructure within the framework of the BEST Project marks a significant milestone in HUB’s digital transformation and internationalization strategy. Beyond providing technological resources, the project also opens up valuable opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of university governance capacity in line with European standards. This initiative reaffirms the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking’s commitment to innovation, international integration, and sustainable development, positioning HUB among the leading higher education institutions in Vietnam in the pursuit of academic excellence and global engagement.
HUB’s deployment of this technological infrastructure is expected to bring numerous practical benefits. First and foremost, the system enhances the university’s capacity for centralized data storage, processing, and management, thereby improving the efficiency of administration, teaching, and scientific research activities. In addition, the new equipment contributes to strengthening cybersecurity and ensuring information safety, meeting the increasingly high demands of digital governance and the operation of online learning systems.
